Northwest Projections in Practise Training Week 5th-9th October 2009

In June 2009, the UK Climate Projections 09, funded by DEFRA, were launched as a freely accessible online resource offering the most advanced projections of future climate change.

Working with the UK Climate Impacts Programme, the government's single organisation for tackling climate change adaptation, the Northwest delivered a week-long series of training events in the use of the new projections. These have enabled participants to understand how to use the web interface, how to interpret the outputs and how the projections will help them better understand how climate change may impact on existing risks to their activites.
