DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The reason for implementation of the photovoltaic power station
was the possibility to utilize the allotment determined to the
electricity production from renewable energy resources. The
installation of the photovoltaic power station was facilitated by
means of the subsidy conditions of the Ministry of
Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic conformably to the OPPP
program. This explicit installation participates in the obligation
of the Czech Republic to achieve the ratio of renewable energy
resources at the level of 8% out of the total generation to
2010.
The total investment costs of CZK 85, 000, 000 enabled application of a renewable energy resource, in this case, the energy of Sun, available to the electricity generation.
The photovoltaic power station was put into operation highly on 29 January 2007, and commissioned to a permanent operation on 1 February 2007. It was constructed on a moderately sloping unused allotment, and it is specified by the following technical parameters:
- Site construction area: 13, 500 m2
- Installed generation capacity on the construction: 693 kWp
- Installed generation capacity on the inverter: 600 kWp
- Number of photovoltaic panels: 5, 320 pc
- Area of panels: 6, 170 m2
- Type of photovoltaic panels: Mitsubishi PV-MF 130EA 2L
- Inverters: 2 x Solar Max 300 C
- Annual production: 628, 000 kWh (anticipation)
PROJECT TARGETS
Based on the assessment processed by the Operating Organization, the electricity generated from photovoltaic energy resource stands for a decrease of CO2 emissions for 725 tons per year compared to the standard energy resource.
LESSONS LEARNT & APPLICABILITY IN OTHER SITUATIONS
Anticipated annual generation of 628, 000 kWh is sufficient to supply 172 households with the number of 343 persons.
The Electricity Purchase Price generated from photovoltaic
energy resources has been determined by the Price Decision
stipulated by the Energy Regulatory Office No. 8/2006 dated on 21
November
2006, which shall define the support for the electricity generation
from renewable energy resources, combined electricity and heat
generation and accessory energy resources. Concerning photovoltaic
power stations commissioned into operation after January 1, 2006,
this price has been determined to be 13, 460 CZK/MWh.
Revenues for electricity supplied to the grid under the
conditions of anticipated annual generation of 628, 000 kWh would
amount to
628 x CZK 13, 400 = 8, 415, 200 CZK/year.
Return on investment (ROI) arising from such data amounts to elementary 10.1 year.
